About Us

Parkside Fire Company, originally chartered in 1919, was located at 31 West Roland Road (now used by Parkside Academy of Dance) by 46 dedicated residents of the Borough. About 1924, the Ladies Auxiliary was formed to assist the firefighters of Parkside Fire Company and consisted of 69 ladies. Over the years, we’ve had hundreds of members to aid us in our support of the community. Just as our past members spent countless hours volunteering, our tradition continues with just 36 members. EMS services were provided to the borough and surrounding area from 1943 to September 2020. The current firehouse, built in 1958, and remodeled in 1998 when a second floor was added, is located at 107 W Roland Rd, Brookhaven, PA 19015.

Located near popular Route 352 and Interstate 95, we provide quick response to areas throughout the local district as well as mutual aid to our surrounding community as firefighters and fire police officers. If you are interested in joining Parkside Fire Company or donating financially, we would welcome you with open arms as you aid us in giving back to our beloved community. Use our contact page to get in touch with a member of our organization today. Stay safe.

Firefighters

Our firefighter's main role is to help with the extinguishing of fires found on or in homes, local businesses, dumpsters, or vehicles. They also are trained and respond to other emergency situations including incidents with hazardous materials, road traffic incidents, medical emergencies, floods, and even occasionally rescuing cats in trees.

Fire Police

Fire Police in Pennsylvania are volunteer fire company members, sworn in by the Township supervisor, Mayor, Borough Council President, or the local District Justice of the Peace. They come under direct control of the Local Police (or State Police if no local department is available) and aid the police in their duties ranging primarily from traffic control to other enforcement duties.
